Miss Ink Stamps // Wonderland Wisdom Peek Through Card

Hello! I'm am absolutely beyond excited to be guest designing for the new release from Miss Ink Stamps! I love this company and I LOVE this release! My sneak peek today uses the Wonderland Wisdom stamp set and the Rabbit Hole stencil and they will be available TOMORROW Saturday the 28th at 8am!

The Wonderland Wisdom stamp set is a larger 4x8 stamp set that is packed FULL of all of our favorite sayings from Wonderland! This is definitely a staple sentiment set. It goes with everything in this release!

I wanted to show you that you can make the Wonderland Wisdom stamp set the focal point of a card. And as soon as I saw the smiling cat image I knew I wanted to use it! He's my favorite character! I started with a card base ( which I eventually cut down to 4.25" square ) and die cut a stitched circle from the top left corner. I made sure to open the card base before die cutting so that I only cut through the front of the card and not the back of the card. I chose a circle die that would leave a stitched detail on the negative portion of the die cut ( the card base ), but you could use any circle die you have.

I opened up the card and blended some ink onto the card base using three colors of pink ink - Soft Kisses, Fandango, and Tickled Pink. I kept the lighter ink towards the circle die cut and the darker ink towards the outer edges. I took the Rabbit Hole Stencil and sprayed the back of it with Pixie Spray and positioned the center point of the swirl over the die cut circle. I used the same three colors of ink to blend over the stencil, but I used a heavier hand so that the stenciled portions would be darker than the blended background.

I opened the card and blended some Banana Creme Pie Hybrid Ink onto the inside of the card where the circle die peeks through. And that completes the ink blended portion of this card. Whew! I stamped the smiling face from the Wonderland Wisdom stamp set through the center of the die cut circle on the inside of the card and colored in the nose with a bit of a pink marker.

I stamped and white heat embossed my sentiment from the Wonderland Wisdom stamp set and added some clear bubbles to finish my card. Thanks for joining me! And be sure to check out the Miss Ink Stamps site TOMORROW at 8am for the full release!
