Artie Goes to Outer Space

I have always thought that galaxy and outer space backgrounds should sparkle - even if they don't in real life! Haha! I started with a piece of watercolor cardstock and sprayed it with water from a Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and added a bit of Golden Sparkler and Lilac Waterfall Nuvo Shimmer Powders over my wet background. I moved it around with my paintbrush until I had the shimmery watercolor background I wanted.

Of course that wasn't enough sparkle ... and what's outer space without stars?! I sprayed the back of the Stargazer Stencil with Pixie Spray and tacked it onto my shimmer watercolor background and added some Black Glitz Glitter Gel over the stencil to complete my background.

I stamped out my images from the Space Training stamp set and colored them in with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I trimmed them out with scissors and added them with foam squares onto my card as well as a white heat embossed sentiment from the Space Training stamp set.
