Pear Blossom Press and Karen Burniston Blog Hop

I'm so happy to be pairing together two FABULOUS companies on one card! Amanda from Pear Blossom Press is a good friend of mine and I'm totally obsessed with her EZ-Lights she recently released! There is no easier way to create a light up card! No tape, no switches - just a button and some wires that you don't even have to connect! And I got the opportunity to play with some Karen Burniston dies for the first time to create a super fun interactive card!

As a thank you for hopping along with us on the Karen Burniston and Pear Blossom Press Collaboration Hop we have prizes to give away! Be sure to comment along the way to be entered to win one of two great prizes:

Snowman Twist Circle Die Set with a 5-pack of EZ-Lights

OR

Cake Pop-Up Die Set with a 5-pack of EZ-Lights!

Now don’t worry if you aren’t drawn as one of the winners; we’ve got a special gift for everyone! Just enter the code POPANDLIGHT for 15% off your purchase at Karen Burniston or Pear Blossom Press. One code works for both shops! (Coupon code valid until November 2, 2019.)

You seriously need to watch my process video to see all the magic in this card! It's gorgeous and sparkly on the outside and then pops up AND lights up on the inside! Things don't get much more fabulous than that!!

I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and blended it over a snowflake stencil on my A2 sized card and then sprayed the whole front with Silver Glitter Dust Spray from ThermOWeb. I die cut the Merry Christmas die from Karen Burniston four times from white cardstock and once from a piece of Pink & Main Barbershop Sparkle Sheet and stacked them together. That's the front of my card! It would make a great clean and simple Christmas card, but the inside is where there is all kinds of magic!

Remember - I have a full tutorial on how I put together this card in my YouTube video at the top of this post! I die cut all of the necessary pieces to put together my Karen Burniston Twist Panel Pop-Up card. Instead of using patterned or colored cardstock I did a little ink blending for my night background and stamped and heat embossed some stars from the Ellen Hutson Cozy Christmas and Trinity Stamps Season Greetings Silhouettes stamp set. My Critters are from the Mama Elephant Fuzzy Hugs stamp set and colored with Copic Markers. I die cut some Ice Rink Sparkle Sheets for my snowbanks and put all the pieces together.

It's hard to see in the light, so I turned off most of my lights and photographed the inside of the card - so please excuse the lighting! I pierced a hole into the center of my heat embossed stars and wired my Pear Blossom Press EZ-Lights so that the first three panels would have light up stars! The magic happens when you press the little mice on the last panel! The EZ-Light system is truly SUPER DUPER easy! There aren't any switches to build or copper tape to run - everything is wired for you! All you have to do is place the light, tape down the wires, and pop in the battery!

I hope you love this project! Remember to hop through all of the blogs below and leave comments to win one of two fabulous prizes! Thanks so much for stopping by!
