For the next two days, the Design Team has created gorgeous projects to inspire you with the latest Fall collection that is now available in a local craft store near you!
We are talking about...
The A View for All Seasons Stamps (with a perfect coordinating die set), Woodland Wonderland Stamps (also with a coordinating die set available), and No Matter the Weather Stamps.
Some amazing Halloween High Jinks Stamps (cut out in no time with the coordinating die set), Happy Haunting Stamps (with a perfect coordinating die set here), and one of the new Petal Pusher sets, Pick of the Patch (and its die set)!
We also continued adding to our wonderful Basic dies line: In the Breeze Die Set, Down Main Street Die, and Over the Hills Die. Not to forget Up a Tree Die Set, Garden Gateway Die Set, Garden Wreath Die Set. They fit with all of our products, so don't miss on them!
People have been amazed by the thickness of the brand new Fall 6x6 paperpack, Sweater Weather - 6x6 Paper. How GORGEOUS is it?!
I made a fun double heat embosses background using the Leaves stencil! The process is easier seen than explained, so check out my video below!
I took a regular piece of cardstock and covered it with double sided adhesive. I removed the backing and pressed the Leaves stencil on top. Rather than inking over the stencil I sprinkled on some greenish/blue embossing powder. Because the cardstock is covered in double sided adhesive the embossing powder sticks to the part of the stencil that would normally be inked. I heat embossed the powder and loved the results! Of course you could get this look by pressing a watermark ink pad over the stencil and adding embossing powder, but I wanted to also add a second color of powder to the rest of the background! This is easily done because the first color of powder only stick to the positive part of the stencil. After I heat embossed I still had the whole negative part of the background that was sticky. I added a creamy pearl color of embossing powder over the remaining background and heat embossed it. I'm left with a completely smooth two colored background that is shy from the heat embossing!!
The background is so hard to capture in photos! But in real life it looks SO SO cool!! I used a square from the Practically Square Frames die set and die cut a plaid paper from the Sweater Weather 6x6 paper pad. I added a heat embossed sentiment from the Happy Fall stamp set and the cute critters from the Woodland Wonderful stamp set to finish my card.
I hope you enjoyed this fun tutorial!
