I used the Cardinal Seasons stamp set to create a masked one layer card - and I took advantage of the new coordinating Petal Pusher dies

I wanted to build a little mini "scene" and it was easiest for me to start at the bottom with my sentiment so that I could be sure I didn't run out of room. After that I continued working from the bottom to the top stamping my images and masking along the way. I stamped the branch, masked it off, stamped the birdhouse, masked it off, and then finished with the birds. Then it was time for the details! I added the pine needles, stamped the heart in the birdhouse, and colored the scarf on the cardinal. I used some light blue ink and a blending tool to add "blobs" of color to mimic the look of clouds in the background.

Now for the finishing touch! The Cardinal Seasons Petal Pusher Dies has a special die that cuts out just the bottom and sides of the wings leaving the top attached, so you can lift - or push - the wings up off the card! So so so so so cool! Now it's time to comment on this blog post and the rest of the blogs in the hop to win a giftcard! Good luck!

Day 4:
