Die Cut Sentiment Strips Shaker Card

Hello! You know I love a good two for one technique and I have another one for you today!

I used the Sentiment Strip die set and picked out four sizes of the banner dies and arranged them in size order and cut them from a piece of cardstock leaving a space in the middle. I layered the die cut panel on top of a second piece of cardstock and used masking tape and masked off the individual cut out shapes and blended on a rainbow of inks.

I used the Special Day stamp set and stamped the large sentiment onto my ink blended card front and heat embossed and die cut a coordinating sentiment. I created a simple shaker by adding a piece of acetate to the back of the die cut panel, adding plenty of foam tape to create individual wells behind each die cut window, and adding gold beads to the wells. I closed up the shaker with black cardstock to finish the card.

I created a second card using the piece of cardstock that was behind the original ink blended piece. When I blended ink over the first die cut panel it left perfectly ink blended banners on the second piece of cardstock! Perfect for a one layer card!

I used the other large sentiment from the Special Day stamp set and stamped it in the middle of my card and added smaller coordinating sentiments right on top of the ink blended banner shapes. And just like that - two cards from one ink blended panel! Thanks for joining me!
