So cute, right?! The Beary Great Day stamp set is part of the June release from LDRS Creative and seriously! All the little bear images?! To die for! I started with the little bear head image and stamped the image all over a piece of watercolor cardstock with Coffee Bean Hybrid ink. Because this is a hybrid ink it dries to the touch, but stays a bit wet on the paper allowing me to add some Clear Embossing Powder. The results aren't as perfect as using a regular embossing ink, but it still gives some extra shine and texture! And it helps hold the watercolor in place for us messy people! Haha! Once my panel was covered with the cutest little bear heads I grabbed my watercolors and colored them in. I decided to die cut the panel with the largest die from the Scallop Rectangle Frame die set from the June release. I love the cute little cutouts around the edge!
I swear this card had to have changed direction at least 10 times! Haha! I had planned to just have the focus be the background and add a sentiment on top, but I couldn't help but to color the bear. And then he needed a spoon ... which of course needed the honey pot! Haha! I cut the all out with scissors. I thought my white card base was too much, so I used the same Coffee Bean Hybrid Ink that I stamped my images with and sponged some ink around the outer edge of my card and glued the stamped background and all my images on top. I grabbed a scrap piece of cardstock and blended on more Coffee Bean ink and stamped the sentiment with LDRS Creative Watermark Emboss ink and heat set with LDRS Creative White powder.
This card is simple and easy - but oh how I love all those watercolored bears in the background! I have to do the same with the honey pot! Head over to the LDRS Creative shop to grab the goodies I've used in today's project! Here's my video!
