Hello! I make all of my card bases by cutting a piece of cardstock in half long ways and then scoring at the 5 1/2 inch mark. Well .... I was making a bunch of bases and I accidentally scored at the wrong measurement. Rather than throw the cardstock away I decided to use it!
The actual dimensions of the piece of cardstock that I started with is 4 1/4 by 9 inches long. The top flap is scored at 3 1/2 inches and the bottom is scored at 1 1/4 inches. The folded card dimensions are 4 1/4 inches square. I love square cards and I think it's super fun that this one has a sort of tri-fold design!
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the Bright Side stamp set from Pink & Main! I stamped the sentiment towards the right of my card with back ink and filled in with a bunch of clouds and raindrops from the Bright Side stamp set. This stamp set is even more adorable because there are cute little faces that you can stamp inside of the clouds! I added a little coloring with alcohol markers to the clouds and raindrops. I wanted to bring in a rainbow on the bottom flap of the card, so I trimmed down a rainbow striped patterned paper from the Something Whimsy paper pad and adhered it to the flap.
But one rainbow is never enough! Haha! I stamped the rainbow image from the Bright Side stamp set on the inside of my card and colored it in with alcohol markers. Of course I added more cute faces to the clouds! I hope you love this bright and happy card as much as I do! See you next time!
