Hey there, everyone! I have a project for the LDRS Creative blog today! I've seen white flowers popping up everywhere lately and I love the look! I decided to try my hand at them!
I started by stamping out each of the flowers and leaves from the If Friends Were Flowers stamp set. I LOVE that there's a large bouquet of flowers already arranged in the stamp set, but there are extra flowers and leaves so that you can add on or build your own bouquet! I used the Raven Hybrid Ink Cube to stamp my images because I knew I would be coloring with alcohol markers. This ink is AMAZING and I LOVE that you can use it with so many different coloring mediums. Once my coloring was done I cut out each of my images with the If Friends Were Flowers die set.
I can't get enough of the Eyelet Lace Rectangle dies. The lace edge is GORGEOUS! I die cut the largest die from some heavy weight cardstock. I thought this card needed some color ... and since my favorite color is rainbow (haha!) I grabbed the Sweet Sensations paper pad and chose the rainbow chevron patterned paper. I die cut it with the small rectangle die in the Eyelet Lace Rectangle die set. I glued the flowers and leaves down with a mix of liquid adhesive and foam squares. For a fun tip on how I adhere groups of die cuts check out my video! I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the If Friends Were Flowers stamp set and added it to the center of my flower arrangement.
The largest die in the Eyelet Lace Rectangle die set will beautifully layer onto a standard A2 card base, but I just LOVE the lace detail and I wanted that to shine on my card. Rather than layer the die cut onto a card I cut a small card to glue behind the die cut. The card is small - only about 2 1/2 by 4 inches - but it's big enough for a small message and I love how you can see through the lace detailed edge. That's it for my card! I hope you'll watch my process video below!
I hope you've enjoyed this card! See you soon!
