The stamps that are making their debut today are:
Hi, everyone! I'm so excited about the second release from The Rabbit Hole Designs! Let's jump right in and look at the Easter Bounty stamp set! It's my favorite from this release! There's so many cute images in this set - two little bunnies, a jar of eggs, flowers, etc! I am a big fan of using small images, so I used all three of the individual eggs in the stamp set to create my card.
I used my Koi watercolors, but I hardly used any water at all so that I would get that granulated look. I tapped my brush rather than swiping it to add blobs of colors. Looking at the card now I wish I could go back and fix my red! I love the look of watercolors with very little water, but you have to be careful because you can get brush marks like I did.
I stamped and gold heat embossed the eggs and the strings onto white cardstock and fussy cut them out and "hung" them from the top of my card so that it looks like they are hanging from the dripping rainbow of watercolors.
I heat embossed a coordinating sentiment and popped it up on my card with foam tape!
Of course The Rabbit Hole Designs is going to continue with their caffeinated critters line! Caffeinated Crab looks like I do in the morning trying to get my family to eat breakfast! Haha!
I stamped and colored my little crab with watercolor markers and created my background with alcohol inks. I have a second card that I created with alcohol inks and a video to go along with it later in this post!
I stamped and heat embossed #crabby randomly on the right side of my card and added my crab and sentiment strip with foam squares.
This is one of my favorite cards I've made in a long time! I used the Altenew Cube Builder stencil with some Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink along with the new Caffeinated Bee stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I love how it looks super dimensional! I die cut the stenciled piece with a stitched rectangle die from the Pink & Main Stitched Rectangles 1 die set and matted it onto a piece of kraft cardstock also die cut with a stitched rectangle die - but this one from the Stitched Rectangles 2 die set. Both of these die sets together give you every size of rectangle you could need!
I decided I wanted to use the chemical symbol for caffeine in the background, so I grabbed a stamp set from the first release and stamped the symbol randomly in Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped and white heat embossed the #Buzzed sentiment from the Caffeinated Bee stamp set onto Kraft cardstock.
I colored the little bee with my Staedtler felt tipped markers and popped the bee and the sentiment onto my card with foam tape!
My last card uses the Caffeinated Flamingo stamp set - and I made a video for this card! My first video using alcohol inks! I've played with alcohol inks for a while now, but I've never braved the camera with them! I used a mix of pinks and orange to create my background and used a straw to blow the ink around until I was happy with the layering. I let my card sit for about 10 minutes and then added some gold DecoFoil from Thermoweb to the tacky areas of my alcohol ink background.
I die cut the alcohol inked piece with a die from the Stitched Rectangles 2 set from Pink & Main and added it on top of some pinstriped patterned paper. I was completely drawn to the #blahmingo sentiment in the Caffeinated Flamingo stamp set and thought about how "blah" I often feel. Haha! I just felt a grayscale flamingo was in order! I stamped him onto some watercolor cardstock and colored him in with my Staedtler felt tipped markers. I trimmed out the image and added it and the sentiment onto the front of my card.
The shine from the gold mixative I added to the alcohol ink background and the foil are so awesome! Especially in contrast to the "blah" flamingo! I have a video showing the creative process for this card! You can watch it below!
Here is the line up for the hop:
