Yes, You Are the Fairest of Them All.

I finally got a chance to play around with the Simon Says Stamp March card kit - Classic Beauty! And I have to say...this one is one of my favorites! I love it so much! There are cardstocks, patterned papers, journaling cards, and Perfect Pearls. So much goodness! And the color scheme is one of my favorites - yellow and gray! Okay, here's my card - 

I started by die cutting the journaling tag with a Spellbinders die. The die just cuts along the top edge of the paper and it results in this fantastic torn notebook page look! It scored a line as well, so I folded it to give the tag some dimension. While I had my Big Shot out I decided to use the largest die from the SSS Stitched Rectangles set to die cut some patterned paper that I thought went along fantastically with the mirror and the saying on the tag.

I cut 3 strips of the chevron patterned paper and adhered them to the back of the journaling tag so that it looks like a striped border. I used fun foam cut slightly smaller than the patterned paper to give the card some dimension. I love using fun foam because then the raised look is uniform and the paper doesn't sag in the middle. I adhered the tag to the paper with tape runner adhesive. Then I adhered the whole panel to an A2 card base I cut from some SSS cardstock from the kit.

For some finishing touches I added some Doodlebug sequins with Ranger Multi Matte Medium. I also decided to try my hand with the Ranger Liquid Pearls that came with the kit. I've never used them before, but I just tried to hold the bottle straight up and down and just squeeze a tiny bit until I got my desired size of dot.

I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter marker to add glitter to the whole handheld mirror and then used Glossy Accents over the actual "glass" part of the mirror to add a bit of a glass-like shine.
