Joy to the World Ornament Card.

Hello! I'm here with a really quick post featuring one of the add on stamp sets from Studio Calico's October kit - the snowman stamp set! I love snowmen! And I especially love this stamp set because you can use the stamps to be snowmen or little ornaments!

I started with an A2 card base from Neenah 110lb paper and matted it with some silver paper from Hobby Lobby's The Paper Studio. I took another piece of Neenah paper and stamped the ornament hangers in Ranger Emboss It ink and then embossed them with silver detail embossing powder from Recollections. Next, I stamped the actual ornaments using Purple Rain and Yes Peas ink from Studio Calico. I wanted to dress up my ornaments a little bit, so I used my embossing ink and some Recollections sparkle embossing powder in Glitz and embossed some of the images from the stamp set onto my ornaments.

The sentiment and the star are from an older Recollections stamp set and I embossed them in the same Recollection silver detail embossing powder. Then I wrapped some green and white striped ribbon around the piece and adhered the ends and the back of the paper. I adhered the statement piece to the silver paper with Scotch ATG tape runner adhesive.

I used some silver glitter tape from Recollections along the left side of the paper. I thought that the card needed another little pop of color...and of course...more glitter! So I took a piece of red Bazzil paper and covered it with my embossing ink. Then I sprinkled on some more of that Recollections glitter embossing powder and embossed it with my heat tool. This gave me a beautiful glitter paper...but the glitter doesn't rub off! I cut off a small strip of the red paper and added it right on top of the glitter tape.

To finish off the card I tied a bow with the green and white ribbon and added it to the card with a glue dot. That's it! I hope you enjoyed this card! I'll see you again soon!
