All right, on to what you've all been waiting for! I used Carissa Wiley's The One With the Red Doily card as my sketch inspiration. Here's my creation :
My challenges to myself for this kit were the red papers and the ribbon. It's so thick! I didn't want it to completely over power my card, so I scrunched it up in a way I've done previously. Everything I used is from the kit, except for the adhesive, embossing powder, and the little black square paper.
My card base is thick gray paper from the kit folded to make a top folding card. I matted the kraft paper and the alphabet paper onto the card base. Next I adhered my red doily onto the paper and trimmed off the excess. I added my scrunched up ribbon and the "hi" sentiment. I popped the black square on top of the white one using foam tape.
I love the way the "hi" stamp matches the font on this paper. I just had to use to two of them together!
