LDRS Creative May Features Day 2 | Baby's Breath Wreath Card

It may sound strange, but Baby's Breath is one of my favorite flowers! It's so dainty and adds a finishing touch to any bouquet, but I decided to make it the focal point of my card for LDRS Creative today!

I stamped a bunch of baby's breath from the Pelargonium Stamp Set with Alloy Hybrid Ink and added some color with Copic Markers. I picked out three patterned papers from the Pastel Patterns Paper Pack and cut them down to form various elements on my card.

I arranged my baby's breath in a wreath and adhered them onto the honeycomb patterned paper and popped it up onto my card front. I stamped the sentiment from the Pelargonium Stamp Set with La La Lavender Hybrid Ink and cut it out with the coordinating Pelargonium Die Set

Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you again soon!

Sassy & Crafty | Glitz Glitter Gel Shaker Card

I love allllll the shiny things! I mixed a Glitz Glitter Gel stenciled backgrounds with a shaker card using Sassy & Crafty goodies!

I adhered the Awesome Stars Stencil onto my card with a bit of Pixie Spray and used a Stencil Pal to spread Black Glitz Glitter Gel over the stencil and set the panel aside to dry for about 30 minutes while I worked on the rest of the card.

I stamped the adorable image from the My Kind of Crazy Stamp Set and colored it with Copic Markers then used scissors to trim around the image. I also stamped a sentiment onto a strip from the My Kind of Crazy Stamp Set. I just love the cute and funny sentiments in this set!

I cut a frame from the LDRS Creative Scalloped Circle Frames Die Set and created a shaker well by adding acetate and foam tape. I find it easiest to add the shaker bits onto the card and then add the frame on top. Be sure to press well so none of the bits fall out!

I hope you love all the shimmer and shine on this card as much as I do!

Things are looking awfully summery out there! I mixed different florals from LDRS Creative on this slim line card and it makes me think of a bright and cheery day!

I colored the Snapdragon and Lily with Copic Markers and cut them out with the coordinating Snapdragon and Lily Dies

I adhered the Coneflower Stencil to a 3.25" x 8.25" slim line panel with Pixie Spray and stenciled Dan-D-Lion and Little Boy Blue Inks over the stencil. I stamped the stripes from the Magnolia Stamp Set with Raven Hybrid Ink for a finishing border.

I stamped the "thanks" sentiment from the Lily Stamp Set with Iced Tea Hybrid Ink and used the coordinating Lily Die Set to cut out the sentiment.

I love the elegance of this simple card! Come back tomorrow for more LDRS Creative inspiration!

LDRS Creative | Hello Chloe Alpha Slim Line Card

I've mixed together some old and new LDRS Creative stamps, dies, and papers to make a cute encouragement card!

One of the things I love to do is revisit stamps from my stash and mix them with new release items. It makes me feel like I am really getting a lot of use out of my supplies! And I think it makes the stamps feel loved haha! The Up and Away Pocket Pals Stamp Set is one of my favorites from last summer, so I decided to pull it out and use the cute little elephants on my card. I stamped the elephants and balloon with Raven Hybrid Ink and colored them with markers then cut them out with the coordinating Up and Away Dies

I picked one of my favorite colors and patterns from the Pastel Patterns 4x9 Paper Pack and cut it with the largest die in the Pretty Patterns Slim Line Die Set. I cut the stitched layer from white cardstock as well as the fancy square frame. I backed the square frame with the same Pastel Patterns paper that I used for my background so that I would have a cohesive card.

I just LOVE the Chloe Alpha Stamp Sets! The accent details make a simple sentiment so elegant! I stamped the letters from the Chloe Alpha Uppercase Stamp Set to make the word "hello" with Tropical Sea Hybrid Ink towards the left of my white stitched rectangle and used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp a coordinating sentiment from the Up and Away Pocket Pals Stamp Set

I sure hope this cute slim line card lifts your spirits! Thanks for joining me!

ThermOWeb | Cupcake Birthday Card with Deco Foil Flock

Things are bright and fuzzy in my craft room today! I used Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets to make this happy little birthday card! Join me for a quick tutorial!

Let's start with the fun textured Deco Foil Flock background! Whenever I am making a card with a "wet medium" that needs some drying time I like to start there. I cut a white card front to 4.25" x 5.5" and placed the polka dotted stencil from the Simon Says Stamp Simple Patterns Trio stencil set over the top. The stencil is exactly the size of an A2 card front, so no need to measure to get the perfect pattern in the center of a card! I used Purple Tape to temporarily adhere my stencil to my card front. I scooped out some Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO and used my Stencil Pal to smooth it out over my stencil.

You'll know when the Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO is dry because it will change from a milky white color to clear, shiny, and slightly tacky. The great thing about the Deco Foil Transfer Gel DUO is that it can be used with or without heat! My die cutting machine has a permanent place on my desk while my laminator does not, so the DUO Gel is SO convenient! I cut a piece of Teal Waters Deco Foil Flock to be slightly larger than my stenciled design and placed it Flock side down into the DUO Gel and ran it through my die cutting machine in my regular sandwich. I slowly peeled off the backer and I have a BEAUTIFUL (and fuzzy!) textured background!

My images are from the My Favorite Things All the Cupcakes Stamp Set. What's cuter than a rainbow of cupcakes on a birthday card?! I stamped them with black ink and then colored them with Copic Markers. I added white gel pen highlights for extra fun! I stamped a cute sentiment from the same stamp set as well.

Now let's assemble the card! I added iCraft 3D Foam Squares behind my sentiment as well as my cupcakes. These are my go to foam squares when I want a good bit of lift behind my elements. Because I'm adhering to a textured surface I added just a dot of iCraft Ultra Bond Liquid Adhesive to each foam square so that I am sure they will hold on tight.

I hope this sweet birthday card inspires you to pull out your Deco Foil Flock and give your projects an extra sprinkle of texture! See you soon!

Pink & Main | Glittered Bold Butterfly

I LOVE a big bold die, don't you?! And it's even better when it's glittery!! The Bold Butterfly Panel Dies from Pink & Main are bold and gorgeous and fill a card front perfectly!

I wanted the Bold Butterfly Panels to really shine ... literally! So I die cut the Bold Butterfly Panel B from black glitter cardstock from the Metallics Glitter Paper Pack and the Bold Butterfly Panel C from yellow glitter cardstock from the Spring Glitter Paper Pack and adhered them together with foam for dimension.

I wanted a frame that would perfectly fit the butterfly die cut, so I cut a piece of cardstock from the Holographic Cardstock Set 2 Paper Pack using the Bold Butterfly Panel A and carefully cut out the butterfly from the center. Now I have a holographic frame for this card and a holographic butterfly set aside for another card! I backed the glittery and holographic goodness with a pretty butterfly printed paper from the Butterfly Kisses Patterned Paper Pack

I stamped a sentiment from the Butterfly Sketches Stamp Set onto white cardstock and bubble cut around it leaving a small border and added it to the butterfly with foam tape. That finishes this card! There is SO much shine in real life! See you again soon!

InkOn3 | Atelier Ink Summer Sweets Stamping

I love stamping with InkOn3 Atelier Inks! They are smooth and vibrant and make any card simply gorgeous!

I have had this stamp set sitting on my desk for a couple of weeks and it was just begging to be inked up with all the colors of Atelier Inks! The Ice Ice Baby Stamp Set is a multiple stamping style set so I could use multiple colors of ink on each card.

I used Twiggy Brown Atelier Ink for all of the cone and popsicle sticks and then mixed it up with the sno-cones and popsicles. Bee Sting Yellow is one of my favorite colors so I used that one twice! I wanted to mix patterns, so I grabbed a dotted stencil from my stash and blended Blackout Hybrid Detail Ink over the top for contrast. I love to add black with touches of color. It makes the Atelier Inks really pop!

I added a strip of black cardstock where the two patterns meet to give the eye a little bit of a rest. I stamped the sentiments with Blackout Hybrid Detail Ink and die cut the large smile sentiment to make a focal point.

Just like that I have a set of summery cards with gorgeous Atelier Ink color! Thanks for joining me!

5 Cards 1 Kit | LDRS Creative Sweet Birthday Wishes Exclusive Craft Kit

It is SO easy and FUN to make birthday cards using the Sweet Birthday Wishes Exclusive Craft Kit from LDRS Creative! I made 5 cards and still have more ideas!

The possibilities with the Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit are truly endless! I put my personal style into each of these 5 cards, but I love that the products are created in such a way that you can do whatever you like with them! How fun would it be to create a scrapbook page or mini album to celebrate someone's birthday!? Remember! The Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit is limited edition and once it's gone it won't be restocked, so be sure to grab yours from the LDRS Creative store! You get two stamp sets, a die set, papers, and more!

I was drawn to the falling confetti patterned paper and the "happy" bubble balloons (as I call them!) for my first card. I LOVE that there is a coordinating die set for this stamp set to easily cut out the balloons and the strings! I cut the patterned paper with the outer die from the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die Set and added my elements with foam tape for a super fun pocket sized card!

A new item in the Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit are foilable acetate sheets! You definitely don't have to foil them (example of that to follow!), but I just HAD to! I heated up my laminator, placed a piece of gold foil (pretty side up!) onto the acetate sheet, and ran it through with a carrier sheet. Just look at that pretty shine! Of course I needed MORE sparkle, so I used a piece of the gorgeous blue glitter cardstock from the kit for my background. I created a frame by stacking together the two largest dies in the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die Set and added that around the outside.

I finished off this shiny card with a hot pink circle cut from the Scalloped Circle Frames Die Set and layered a Stitched Circle Die on top with my sentiment. I used up my confetti patterned paper from the first card by die cutting it with dies included in the Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit

Let's use two more of the acetate sheets on this card! They are sized perfectly to layer onto an A2 panel, so I trimmed down the yellow cardstock from the kit and added an acetate sheet on top. This one is not foiled and you can see how special it is straight from the package! These acetate sheets would also be GREAT as fronts for shaker cards! There is an acetate sheet that has birthday messages, so I cut it up and used it for my sentiment! I foiled the "happy birthday" and "let's eat cake" with gold foil and adhered it onto the hot pink cardstock from the kit and added the strips with foam to my card. A few enamel dots from my stash finishes off my third card!

My fourth card took a few twists and turns, but it's ended up being my favorite of the bunch! You can check out my video for all the changes I made! I used Alloy Hybrid Ink to stamp a sentiment repeatedly across a white background. The effect is so light and soft! I stamped the three balloons and used some creative masking to fill the balloons with flower clusters using Dan-D-Lion, Fandango, and Key Lime Pie Hybrid Inks. I stamped the same sentiment I used for my background with Raven Hybrid Ink and trimmed it into a strip. I just love that this card can be used as a birthday card, graduation card, anniversary, etc! Just goes to show that you don't have to stick strictly to birthday cards with this kit!

I couldn't leave this kit without using my FAVORITE patterned paper! I'm a sucker for geometric patterns and these colors are to die for! I created a shaker frame by nesting together two dies from the Scalloped Circle Frames Die Set, created a simple shaker with stars and confetti pieces, and added the adorable three layer cake stamped image on top!

And there you have it! Five easy cards using the LDRS Creative Sweet Birthday Wishes Exclusive Craft Kit! This kit is amazingly fun to work with and you can create so many cards. I hope these projects inspire you! Remember that the Sweet Birthday Wishes Craft Kit is limited edition, so grab it while you can!

Simon Hurley create. | From Puddles to Galaxies

I love showing different ways to use products! When I saw the Splish Splash Background Stamp from Simon Hurley create. I saw a starry skies instead of puddles!

I stamped the Splish Splash Background Stamp onto navy cardstock with black ink and added spatters of gold shimmer, silver shimmer, and white watercolor paint.

I didn't think there were enough stars, so I grabbed my white gel pen and added a few more! I stamped sentiments from the Flower Picking Friends Stamp Set and trimmed around them and added them to the card with foam tape.

I hope this inspires you to look at your stamps in a new way!

Miss Ink Stamps | Swiss Dots and Climbing Roses

Watercoloring is my favorite method of coloring and it was so relaxing to color the Climbing Rose Stamp Set from Miss Ink Stamps with my Karin markers!

This card came together quickly and I just love it! The Climbing Rose Stamp Set has a large vine image that takes the guesswork out arranging greenery. Perfect for crafters like me who overthink everything!

I stamped my images with a black pigment ink and clear heat embossed them making it easier to watercolor and added easy color with Karin Brushmarkers. I colored some extra leaves, but you don't really need them. The large vine is full enough on its own.

I added some light gray ink through the Swiss Dots Stencil around the image and created a sentiment strip with the Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp Set to finish my card. Thanks for stopping by!

LDRS Creative | Coneflower Stenciled Card

I used the GORGEOUS Coneflower Stencil from LDRS Creative two ways on one card! One is light and one is bold and mixing them together makes for this super cute card!

I haven't used the Coneflower Stencil yet - a complete travesty! I know! - and it was definitely time to break it in! I started this card by cutting a piece of cardstock with the largest die in the A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers Die Set and then used a piece of masking tape to mask off the top portion of the card so that I could stencil the bottom. I added the Coneflower Stencil onto my card and used Fandango Hybrid Ink to ink the centers of the flowers and Dan-D-Lion Hybrid Ink to ink the petals. There are leaves included in the stencil, but I didn't think it was necessary to bring in green. I wanted to keep the color scheme pretty simple.

I wiped any excess ink off of my stencil and added some iridescent shimmer gel over the top. I love how the saturated hybrid inks shine through the paste! I set the panel aside for about 20-30 minutes to dry while I worked on the rest of the card. I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp my image from the Beary Hoppy Stamp Set and colored it with alcohol markers then cut it with the coordinating Beary Hoppy Die Set

I needed some way to ground my image, so I reached for one of my staple die sets - Practically Square Frames - and cut out a scalloped square from white cardstock. I used Soft Kisses Ink and blended lightly around the edges to give a bit of color. This made me think that the top portion of my card was just too white, so I blended Soft Kisses Hybrid Ink around the edges of the card, but it was still missing something! I decided to place my Coneflower Stencil back onto my card and add a light layer of Soft Kisses Hybrid Ink over it creating a soft background. It was just what the card needed!

I added a strip of light pink cardstock where the stenciling meets and stamped a sentiment from the Beary Hoppy Stamp Set towards the bottom of my square and added it to the center of the card with foam tape. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! See you soon!

Pink & Main | Butterfly Sketches Plaid Inlay

Hi! I mixed stamps, dies, and papers from the upcoming Pink & Main release for this pretty butterfly card!

I started by card by cutting the new Plaid Cover Die Panel A from white cardstock and kept all the pieces. I planned to do a bit of stamping and inlay. This die is perfect for all kinds of inlay techniques since the majority of the pieces are large. I picked my favorite butterfly from the new Butterfly Sketches Stamp Set and stamped it with a crisp black ink onto the large squares surrounding the center square. I reserved the center square for a cute little script "hello" from the Butterfly Sketches Stamp Set

I adhered the frame portion from the Plaid Cover Die Panel A onto a card base and started inlaying my pieces. I popped up the squares which had stamping and originally had kept the rest of the card white, but it was missing something. A pop of color of course! And what color is happier than pink?! I used the Plaid Cover Die Panel A die to cut a piece of patterned paper from the new Butterfly Kisses Paper Pack and inlayed the outer pieces into the negative places on my card. I even kept those teeny tiny pieces at the top and bottom of the card!

I love how this card came out! I hope it gets you excited about the upcoming release from Pink & Main! It will be available on May 20th! See you then!
