Thankful Leaves Turnabout Clean and Simple Card

Hi, everyone! Today I have a video sharing a quick clean and simple card using the new Concord & 9th Thankful Leaves Turnabout stamp set and some Distress Oxide Inks.

I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink for the sentiment and Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, and Fired Brick Distress Oxide inks for the four turns of the turnabout.

I added some gold watercolor spatters and some blue and gold foil cardstock to the left side of the panel and that's it! Check out the video below:

See Through Butterfly Card

Hello, everyone! I'm back from a week of vacation and it feels great to get back in to my craft room! I have a bunch of cards to share with you, but lets start with one that I made about a month ago! My county fair has buildings to showcase various arts and crafts, so I always enter my cards. There are certain categories, so I usually make cards with the fair in mind. I used a see-through card technique that Jennifer McGuire shared a few months ago to make a rainbow butterfly card! If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen a little peek of this card! Guess what?! It won first place!

Looking at the card it looks like just a regular card. But the whole front panel is see through! I colored and cut out all of my vines and butterflies and glued them together to create the front of my card. There's a score line at the top so that it can open.

It's so fun! I added a folded piece of typing paper to the inside so that there's a place to write a message.

I made this card using a technique from Jennifer McGuire. If you want to learn how to make it for yourself she has an awesome video! Visit her blog by clicking here!

More Pink & Main Pattern Maker Backgrounds

Hi! Today I have a BUNCH of backgrounds to share with you! I can't lie...this past week or so I've been stuck. I don't know what to do to make a card! When that happens I pick a favorite stamp set and just make a bunch of backgrounds! I grabbed the Pattern Maker stamp set from Pink & Main and over the past week or more I've just made a bunch of awesome backgrounds! I keep the panels with the stamp set so that I can just grab it and make a card when I'm inspired!

Some of these backgrounds are ones that I've recreated from my own cards. The first and the third are copies of backgrounds I made before! But I loved the order of colors, so I made them again so that I can make another card! All of the inks I used are also from Pink & Main. Their surface inks are wonderful! And I think I used almost every color (except the gray and black)!

Beth Duff Designs Seas the Day Card Wrap and Video

Hey there, everyone! I have another video for you today! And a bonus card that you won't see in the video! I'm really loving making videos for all of you! Let me know what you're thinking! I would love your honest feedback! Today I used a bunch of products to make a background and one of my favorite stamp sets from Beth Duff Designs - Seas the Day! Who doesn't love a good mermaid card?!

I used the Stripes Card Wrap die from Simon Says Stamp to make a fun wrap for my card. I've had this die for a long time and never used it! It's so awesome! It creates a clean and flat (super mailable!!) wrap for your 4 1/4" square card! Or you can just die cut it twice and have a half wrap!

When you untie the twine and open up the card you see the inside! So cool, right?! I used the Simon Says Stamp Folk Dance stencil along with some Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch, and Dusty Concord (although you can't see the purple) Distress Inks. I die cut the piece with a Stitched Basic Edges die from My Favorite Things and added it on top of a panel that I embossed with the Taylored Expressions Cross Stitch embossing folder. The embossing folder gives some subtle texture. Hard to see in the photos, but cool in real life!

I colored some images from the Seas the Day stamp set from Beth Duff Designs with Copic markers and added them onto the card. I didn't use any dimensional adhesive so the card wrap would close easily.

And here's a bonus card for you! I really wanted to see some of that purple, so I made this card with the same stencil and die and sandwiched in a piece of paper with the Cross Stitch embossing folder. I used the top and bottom so that you can see the whole gradient of color! The sentiment is from another favorite Beth Duff Designs stamp set called Unicorn Farts!

And that's it! Check out the process video here:

Come back soon! I'm always crafting and I can't wait to share my creations with you!

Pink & Main Pattern Maker Stamp Set and Video

Hello, friends! I have another video to share with you today! I used the Pink & Main Pattern Maker stamp set to create a plaid background and made two cards! I'm absolutely IN LOVE with this stamp set! I've used it so many times and I will be sharing even more on Friday!

I'm not a dog person - but these doggies from the Diggity Dog stamp set are too cute!

I used three colors of Pink and Main Surface Inks - Salon, Sunny Sky, and Evening Clouds. I used my MISTI so that I could move my paper around and never have to move my stamp. Makes a plaid background easy peasy! I die cut my stamped panel twice using a die from the Scallop Waves Die set so that I could make two cards from one background.

I stamped a sentiment and added my watercolored doggies and I have 2 cards in no time at all! Here's the video!

Thanks so much for joining me! Come back Friday! I'll have more cards using this fabulous Pattern Maker stamp set on the Pink & Main blog!!

Narwhal Shadow Box Card

Hey, everyone! Today I'm sharing a super cute shadow box card using a technique I saw on Jennifer McGuire's blog! I'm not going to be sharing the technique itself...just my finished card. If you want to see how to make an inside shadow box card please click HERE to go to Jennifer's blog!

I used a bunch of Pink and Main products to make this card - patterned paper is from the Sunset paper pad, the awesome Cloudy Frames dies, and the oh so cute Narwhals stamp set! From the outside this card looks super simple! I die cut some patterned paper and made a little frame for my stamped sentiment.

When you open up the card is when the magic happens! I used another Jennifer McGuire technique to create a paint swiped background. I used some teals, blues, and of course metallic gold acrylic paint and scraped it across my background.

I adhered my watercolored images to some strips of strong acetate so that they would "float" on top of my pop up window.

I finished off the card with a stamped sentiment on the painted background piece and more die cut patterned paper around the shadow box frame!

Mandy's Flowers Clean and Simple Card and Video

Hello, everyone! I have a special surprise for you!! Not only did I make a card....I made a video! What?! I know! It's been almost 3 years since my last video, but I've always wanted to start again! I took the plunge by making a quick and easy card using the August Simon Says Stamp card kit. I recorded the video at night, so the lighting isn't great. Really...this was an experiment to see if I really could do it again! The lighting situation in my craft room is poor and I don't have a good computer like I used to. But I think in the end I can make things work!! I'm so excited! Let me know what you think! And tell me what kind of videos you'd like to see from me!

Here's the card I made! Like I said...super quick! I stamped the background stamp with some Barely Beige ink and then added my watercolored image on top! You can't get much easier! Check out my video below!

I hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for stopping by today!
