You Are a Treasure To Me

Hi! I've been a long time subscriber and lover of the Simon Says Stamp card kits. I love that they have really stepped up their game lately and are including even more products! And I especially love the large stamp sets! The Beautiful Flowers stamp set from the June 2018 card kit is one of my favorites!

I used one of the patterned papers from the kit and white heat embossed the large floral image and sentiment from the Beautiful Flowers stamp set. I added blue and gold watercolor spatters and that's it!

Happy Planting Card Set

Hey, crafty friends! I have a set of four clean and simple cards to share today!

I love making sets of cards and the Beth Duff Designs Happy Planting stamp set is just the cutest for summer! I stamped each of the little images and the sentiment in the middle of a stitched square and waterclored each with a monochromatic palette. I added spatters and some Studio Katia gems!

Craftin Desert Divas June Release Wrap Up

Hey, everyone! I'm sad to say that this will be my last release as a Craftin Desert Divas design team member. It's been a great time and I will still continue to craft with CDD products! Here's a few of my favorite cards I made using the new Ice Cream Treat stamp set - a new favorite!!

This is one of my favorite cards I've made - EVER! I love it! It's so bright and cheerful! I love it so much I made my husband write a note in it and give it to me so I didn't have to give it away! Haha! I can hang it in my craft room forever! I used skinny masking tape to create a starburst pattern and used a rainbow of Distress inks to add color and added some flicks of water. I colored a few of my favorite images from the Ice Cream Treat stamp set with watercolors and added them with foam tape. I ended up diecutting my background panel with a stitched scallop die and added a black sentiment!

And this one might be my second favorite card ever made! Haha! It's no secret that I LOVE creating my own backgrounds with stamped images! This little panda cone is just the CUTEST! I needed a whole background of him! I stamped and watercolored my pandas and die cut a square for the sentiment. I added some Antique Linen ink around the edges to bring in the cream color and that finishes this card! Very simple, but I can't stop staring at it! Haha!

Thanks for joining me! Stay tuned for exciting things! They will be announced soon!

Stenciled Triangle Backgrounds

Hey, everyone! I have two stenciled triangle cards to share with you today! They use the My Favorite Things Basic Shapes Triangles stencil!!

For my first card I wanted a rainbow of triangles, so I started with the largest yellow triangle and worked out to the left and right in rainbow order changing the size of the triangle as I went. I used the Pretty Pink Posh Script Hello Friend die and cut it once from black and four times from white. I stacked up the white for dimension and added the black die cut slightly off set for a shadow effect!

For my second card I grabbed a bunch of yellow, orange, green, and blue Distress Inks and cycled through the ink colors layering the smaller triangles on top of the larger ones. I stamped the "hello" from the Simon Says Stamp Hello You stamp set and also added a white heat embossed coordinating sentiment onto black cardstock.

Thanks for joining me!

Butterfly Reflections, Ink Blog Hop

Hi, everyone! Thanks for joining me for the Butterfly Reflections, Ink blog hop celebrating the new Breathe Rainbows stamp set! This set is an exclusive Butterfly Reflections, Ink and Kimma Parish collaboration! It's gorgeous, whimsical and fun and I was so excited to use it that I made two cards! The Butterfly Reflections, Ink design team (past and present) have joined together to give you some inspiration for this amazing set! And there are even more Butterfly Reflections Ink exclusive stamp sets! You can find them here! If you're following along with the blog hop you should have arrived here from Mona Toth's blog. If not - never fear! The whole blog hop list is at the bottom of this post! Here are my cards!

I fell in love with the little girl in the Breathe Rainbows stamp set right away - and her little frog, too! I watercolored her by smooshing some Distress Inks onto my glass work surface and using some water mixed with Perfect Pearls. Mixing the Perfect Pearls into my water gives me the perfect amount of shimmer and shine without any extra effort! I stacked four die cut layers of the Mama Elephant Smile Script for my sentiment. Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents made my die cut sentiment really pop!

You can see all of the shimmer and shine you get by using the Perfect Pearls!

I couldn't let the sloth from the Breathe Rainbows set go uncolored! He's just the cutest! I used the same watercolor technique - Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls - for this card, but I also added some Cracked Pistachio to the whole background. I used the Mama Elephant Script Smile die again and added a coordinating sentiment strip using the My Favorite Things Geometric Greenery stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed my cards! Click through the links below to see a bunch more inspiration! And don't forget to head over to the shop to pick up your Breathe Rainbows stamp set! If you're following along in the hop you should head to the lovely Samantha Mann next! Here's the whole blog hop list!

The One With All The Stamps

Hi! It's no secret I'm pretty obsessed with watercolor...especially the Nuvo shimmer powders! I just love them! So shimmery and pretty!! And who isn't drawn to sparkly things...I sure am!

I pulled almost every single stamp from The Ink Road The One With All The Stamps and arranged them on my MISTI. I stamped and embossed with white powder and then just went to town with my shimmer powders! I love the uneven mixing of colors! I just added powder here and there and sprayed with water and let it do what it wanted!

The name isn't kidding...these powders are shimmery! And I love it!
