Floral Border Cards

Hey, there! Today I have 5 cards to share with you! Four are super simple...even the fifth is simple...but a little more involved than the others! I used some older products...but who says that's a bad thing!

Here's the first card...the more involved one! I started by stamping the floral border image from an old Studio Calico card kit - Lisse Street from April 2015. I love love love this image! I stamped it with Versafine black ink and used clear embossing powder. It was super easy to line up and stamp because I used my MISTI! Where would I be without it! The sentiment is from the My Favorite Things Geometric Greenery stamp set. I used my Gansai Tambi watercolor set to add some quick and easy messy coloring to the image. Can you believe that was the hard one?! I popped on some sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and decorated an envelope. Easy peasy!

While I had the image mounted on my MISTI I went ahead and stamped a bunch more cards! For these two I added a strip of washi tape and a die cut sentiment from the card kit. I have a bad habit of hoarding pretty things...and my goal for this year is to use more of what I have!

And now for the simplest design! I stamped and embossed like the others and then just added a sentiment die cut! And just like that I have five cards done and ready to send out!

Thanks for joining me!

DUH NUH.

Hello, friends! I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new "Duh-nuh" set from Lawn Fawn! Ocean critters are some of my favorites and this little guy does not disappoint! My husband loved him, too, so I made him a cute little anniversary card. Here we go!

I started by stamping out images from Duh-nuh, Fintastic Friends, and Mermaid for You. I colored them all with Copic markers and die cut them with matching dies.

To make the background I die cut a wave from the Ocean Wave Accents Dies from some typing paper and used an ombre of Distress Inks to create a background. Then I flicked on some water to make it look more like an ocean.

I stuck down the fish with glue dots and popped up the shark with two layers of foam squares to really make him stand out. I stamped the sentiment and also popped that up with foam squares. The whole time I was arranging my little sea creatures I was thinking " fish are friends...not food " Haha!

I carried over the ocean shark theme to the inside of the card. I did another Distress inked background with water flicks. I used a Pretty Pink Posh Peekaboo Window die to cut a little window on the panel. I had to do a little bit of creative die cutting to make the window bigger than the actual die. I added the duh-nuh sentiment and a little shark fin - one of my favorite stamps from the release!

I built a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Happy Everything stamp set and that's my card!
I hope you've enjoyed! See you soon!

Mandala Flat Shaker Card

Hello, all! Shaker cards are one of my favorite kinds of cards to make! But I mail so many of my cards and shaker cards are so bulky and often require extra postage...so I love to make flat shakers! That's what I've done today! And I've used a bunch of new Concord & 9th products!

Here's my shaker! I just love it! I started by using the new Concord & 9th Floral Fill-In stencils and papers to make a background. I used Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks. I really hated it. I mean....HATED! But once I covered it with the vellum I fell in love! I love the way the colors kind of faded back and became softer. I stamped one mandala layer from the Many Mandalas stamp set and added a scripty and a print sentiment from the same stamp set and embossed them with WOW black embossing powder.

I made sure that I cut my vellum large enough to wrap around my inked background. I added a bunch of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and Neat & Tangled and folded the vellum around the cardstock and taped down the edges. I used my Spectrum Noir clear glitter sparkle pen to add some shimmer to the mandala and that was it! This card is super cute and was quick and easy to make! My favorite! Catch you next time!
