The Painted Garden 6x6 Paper Pack has double sided papers which are PERFECT for today's tutorial! I always get asked how I decorate the inside of my cards. The honest answer? I don't. Never! I don't even stamp a sentiment on the inside - they're blank so I can write as much or as little as I want. but I thought I would give you guys an easy idea to dress up the inside of your cards. Want to know what it is? Fold the patterned paper in half. Really - that's it! You'll have gorgeous pattern on the front and the inside of your card! I picked out four patterns from the Painted Garden 6x6 Paper Pack and folded them in half at 3 inches and trimmed a bit off the side so they would be 5 1/2 inches long.
I cut the Birdhouse Border Die from white cardstock four times with a 1/2 inch border at the bottom of each one. I wanted to keep the focus on the pretty patterned papers, so I simply used liquid adhesive to glue the birdhouse border die cuts onto the bottom of each of the cards.

One of my favorite things to do is take a product and use it in a different way. I used just a portion of the Garden's Edge Slim Line Stamp Set from LDRS Creative on my Slim Line Pocket Card and it's just adorable!
I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp just the right side of the Garden's Edge Stamp Set onto a piece of white cardstock. I knew that I would be cutting the panel down, so I picked an area of the stamp set where the composition looked the best for a slim line pocket card. I colored in the images with alcohol markers and used the outer die from the Slim Line Droplet Pocket Die Set to cut out the panel and give it a stitched edge.
I thought there was just a bit too much white in the background, so I used the Garden's Edge Slim Line Die Set to cut out a mask for my floral cluster and placed the Brocade Stencil over my background. I used Alloy Hybrid Ink to add some subtle color to the background and removed the mask for an easy one layer background!
Of course I couldn't keep the card completely one layer! I need dimension! I used foam to pop up the Slim Lien Droplet Pocket panel onto a blue card and stamped and fussy cut a sentiment from the Garden's Edge Stamp Set to finish the card. Thanks so much for joining me!
Today I'm bringing you a cute little slim line pocket sized scene today using lots of LDRS Creative stamps and dies!
There is so much goodness packed into this simple scene! I used two stamp sets and five die sets! I just LOVE how the LDRS Creative products work together! I colored the girl, bench, and tree images from the A Day at the Park Stamp Set and the bird, fox, and flower pot from the Friends Like You Stamp Set with alcohol markers then I cut them out with the coordinating die sets.
Scene cards intimidate me, but it's much more manageable to create small scenes. Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die Set to the rescue! I nested both dies together and cut out a piece of white cardstock and used just the outer die to cut a piece of blue cardstock as well as a piece of green cardstock. I used one of the dies from the In the Grass Die Set to cut the green piece so I would have a grassy border that perfectly fits my scene.
I added my images and panicked when I realized I forgot about my sentiment. Ugh. That happens too many times to count! I wanted a small sentiment that wasn't going to take away from the scene, so I grabbed a sentiment strip from the Anytime Sentiment Stack and added it to the bottom of the card. I created an alcohol inked panel on Yupo Paper with alcohol inks as well as some gold foiling and trimmed down a small portion and added it to the bottom of my mini slimline card.
I used the scalloped border design from the Slimline Edges and Borders Die Set and cut a piece of white cardstock and popped it up on top of my alcohol inked panel and trimmed off any overhang. I used purple ink and my i-Blend Brushes to add a bit of purple ink to the edges of my white panel.

I am head over heels loving the new Slim Line Pocket Dies! I love that you can make smaller cards that perfectly fit in an A2 envelope - even with elements that hang off the side of the card! Let's build this card from the bottom up - starting with the white on white background. Die cutting a white background is a great way to bring texture into a card without being too distracting. I die cut the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die background from white cardstock and adhered it onto a 3" x 5.5" card base. Let's move on to the die cut elements! I reached for some of my go to scene building dies - Here Comes the Sun, In a Cloudy Sky, and the Rainbow Bits Die Set. I cut the clouds from white, the sun from yellow, and a colorful rainbow from scraps of colored cardstock. I can't get enough of all of the stitched details!
Such an adorable background needs an equally adorable image to go on top and LDRS has me covered! I grabbed the Up and Away Pocket Pals Stamp Set that was released last Spring and stamped the flying elephants and the heart balloon with Raven Hybrid Ink. I colored them with alcohol markers and die cut them with the coordinating Up and Away Dies and added the images to my card with foam tape.
I love how thoughtful LDRS Creative products are! The two little gingerbread men holding a banner in the Gingerbread Kisses Pocket Pals Stamp Set can be used for any occasion! Sure - gingerbread men are traditionally Holiday cookies, but I'm all for stretching my supplies! I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp the image onto white cardstock and colored it with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating Gingerbread Kisses Pocket Pals Die Set to cut out the image with a perfect white border.
I cut the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die from red cardstock and created a 3" x 5.5" white card base. I also cut the Love You Die as well as a Stitched Heart from white cardstock. As I assembled my card I thought it was just too stark white. Don't get me wrong - I love white! It's my favorite neutral, but because I had used some light browns in my Gingerbread Kisses image everything was clashing. I grabbed a blending brush and my Iced Tea Hybrid Ink Pad and blended ink onto the bottom of each letter and my stitched heart to create a dipped dye look. It's something I used to do all the time and I love the look!
I blended Iced Tea Hybrid Ink onto my card base to match my die cut elements and assembled my card. I used foam tape behind the heart, gingerbread men, as well as the sentiment for dimension. I hope this gives you some inspiration for using your Holiday stamps for other occasions! See you soon!
The Slim Line Pocket Dies from LDRS Creative are my absolute favorites right now! I made an easy shaped card with a repeat stamped background that's just perfect for winter!
This whole card focuses on the background. One of my favorite techniques is a repeat stamped background - especially with these adorable deer! I used the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die Set, but I only cut the scalloped background and not the basket portion. This gives me a fun stitched scalloped background. While we're talking dies, let's cut the shaped card base. I created a standard 3x5.5 inch card base and placed the outer die from the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die Set on top and scooched it up a bit so that it hung off the top I wanted the left, right, and bottom to cut but not the top. This gives me a card base shaped with the scallop border!
Now for the background! I used the Snow Deer to Me Stamp Set and I found it easiest to create the background with a stamping tool, but you could definitely use an acrylic block. I stamped the deer in Raven Hybrid Ink and the trees in Pistachios-a-Plenty and Pink Tutu Hybrid Ink. There was some extra white space between the images, so I used the small flurry stamps in the Snow Deer to Me Stamp Set and stamped them with Swimming Hole Hybrid Ink to fill in the blank areas. I colored the deer with some simple alcohol marker coloring. I added some flicks of silver shimmer watercolor to give the background a snowy winter look.
I die cut the smallest banner die from the Folded Ribbon Banner Die Set and stamped a sentiment from the Snow Deer to Me Stamp Set with Alloy Hybrid Ink and adhered the banner to the card. And that's it! Simple and wintery and oh so cute! Thanks for stopping by - see you soon!

I used some new LDRS Creative goodies with some Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets from ThermOWeb. Sit back and get ready for a pop of neon!
Let's get started with the background! I used Deco Foil Foam Adhesive Sheets from ThermOWeb and Poppin' Pink Neon Enamel Transfer Sheets to create that shiny "gumball" background. I peeled back one side of the backer paper on the foam adhesive and adhered the Neon Enamel Transfer Sheet over the top with the dull side against the adhesive and the shiny side up. I die cut the background using the Slim Line Droplet Pocket Die Set. This die set has two dies and I taped both the stitched border and the inner droplet die together using Purple Tape and cut the foam and enamel background just like I would if I was die cutting cardstock. The products die cut perfectly and it's easy to pop out all of the little pieces. I have a shiny background that looks like candy that is slightly dimensional! I added that onto a 3 x 5.5" slim line pocket sized card.
I *almost* forgot a sentiment for this card! That's something I do quite a bit, unless I am creating the card around the sentiment. I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp the Christmas Wishes Sentiment Stack and die cut all of the sentiments with the Wave Ribbon Stack Coordinating Die. I chose my favorite and adhered it and my colored images onto my card using ThermOWeb adhesives.

Hey, there! Just look at these cute little gingerbread men from LDRS Creative in their snow globe! Ah! I think everything is cuter in a snow globe, don't you!?
Blue and silver is a classic winter color combination - but I never seem to use it! My neighbor decorated their house in blue and white lights and it inspired me to use those colors on my card today. I created an easy little snow globe scene with those adorable gingerbread men. I used Raven Hybrid Ink to stamp my images from the Gingerbread Kisses and Snow Deer to Me Stamp Sets. The snow globe can be tricky to stamp so that it will line up with the coordinating die, but I have a trick for you! I like to just drop my stamp onto my cardstock and pick it up with my stamping tool without fussing with the globe. I find this is the easiest way to make sure the globe retains its shape. I colored all of my images with alcohol markers and used the coordinating Snow Deer to Me Dies as well as the Gingerbread Kisses Die Set.
I kept the blue trend going right through to the background. I used the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die Set to cut a fun background from blue cardstock. I love these new Slim Line Pocket Die Sets! They have two dies and you can use them separately or together for a variety of looks. I decided to use both of the dies together for my background.
I cut a card base to be 3.5" x 5.5" and added all of my pieces on top. I added a healthy coating of shimmer as well as some clear gems. I love the unexpected size of this Slim Line Pocket card and that it will fit in a traditional A2 envelope! Thanks for joining me. I'll see you soon!
